Stanley joined York ahead of the 2022 season from Castleford Tigers.
The Widnes-born talent enjoyed a sublime debut year for York, winning the 2022 Woman of Steel. She was also nominated for the award in 2018 while at Castleford.
Stanley also won the Club’s Player of the Year and Back of the Year in 2022.
Stanley was the top points-scorer at last year’s World Cup (62 points; six tries, 19 goals) and earned a spot in the Team of the Tournament.
Stanley debuted for England against France at the age of 18.
She also featured in the 2013 World Cup - as an understudy to now-York Director of Rugby Lindsay Anfield - and the 2017 World Cup – scoring in the 52-4 Semi-Final defeat to New Zealand.
Stanley played in the inaugural World Cup 9s in 2019 for England.
During the off-season, Stanley was promoted to the role of Vice-Captain, working alongside Captain Sinead Peach.
Stanley’s sporting journey began in football, being scouted by Everton at five-years-old and playing alongside European Championship winner Alex Greenwood.
Stanley began her rugby league career with Moorfield Angels, before playing for Crosfields and then Thatto Heath Crusaders and later Castleford.
