An established favourite among the Knights fanbase thanks to his metre-making carries and 80-minute performances in the middle, Thompson enjoyed another brilliant year for York in 2023.

The loose forward made 28 appearances last year for the Knights and was voted by his team-mates as the side’s Players’ Player of the Year.

Such a year followed on from a superb debut season in 2022 in which he won the Graham Steadman Player of the Year.

The vastly experienced forward boasts more than 180 Betfred Super League on his CV through past spells with Castleford Tigers, Hull FC, Leigh Leopards and Leeds Rhinos.
