Cunningham reunited with Knights Head Coach Andrew Henderson during the off-season, the pair having worked together at London Broncos.

The versatile hooker, who is also capable of playing at back-row, half-back and centre, made a dozen appearances for Betfred Super League side Toulouse Olympique last season.

That followed one-season spells at fellow top-flight clubs Huddersfield Giants and Toronto Wolfpack.

The majority of the Hull man’s appearances came at London, scoring 34 tries in 123 outings for the Broncos.

13 of those tries came in 2018 as the capital club secured promotion to the Betfred Super League.
