Former NRL forward Santi departed Betfred Championship rivals Keighley Cougars for York in June last year and quickly became a favourite among Knights supporters.
The front-rower departed Cougar Park after two-and-a-half-seasons at Keighley, scoring 15 tries in 47 appearances.
The 29-year-old was part of the Cougars side that won the Betfred League One title last year, finishing 2022 with a 100% winning record in the third tier.
Santi brings elite-level experience to the Knights, having appeared in three World Cups for Italy, for whom he has earned 15 international caps.
The Sydney-born forward has also featured in the NRL with Wests Tigers, playing 11 times in the top-flight competition.
