Pauli established himself as a fans favourite during his maiden season at York last year, with his barraging carries causing problems for numerous Betfred Championship defensive lines.

The prop made 19 appearances, scoring two tries, as the Knights earned a return to the Betfred Championship Play-Offs, but his season was curtailed by an ACL injury, which he currently recovering from.

Pauli joined York after two seasons with Salford Red Devils, featuring in the club’s 17-16 defeat to Leeds Rhinos in the Betfred Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.

The former NRL star, who represented Parramatta Eels and Newcastle Knights, arrived in the UK with Wakefield Trinity, for whom he made 46 seasons during his two seasons at The Be Well Support Stadium.
