Dagger joined York from Wakefield Trinity in 2024, signing a three-year deal with the Knights.

The Pontefract-born man had over 60 Betfred Super League appearances to his name before moving to York, during spells at Warrington Wolves, Hull KR and Wakefield, having debuted in the top-flight at the age of just 18.

Dagger’s first season at the club was affected by injury and suspension, but still he made 14 appearances, scoring six tries and kicking 50 goals.

Also capable of covering at half-back and wing, Dagger is in his second stint with the Knights, having scored three tries in four appearances under Head Coach James Ford in 2018 as York captured the Betfred League One title.
