Barnard impressed for the Knights during his late-season trial at the end of last season, earning a two-year deal at the Club.

The Heworth ARLFC product made his York debut off the bench as a trialist in the 74-12 victory over Workington Town at the LNER Community Stadium.

Capable of playing at prop and loose forward, Barnard made his first Knights start in the 36-0 defeat at Toulouse Olympique in February.
