After a brief stint on loan at York in 2021, Ellis signed a permanent deal with the Knights ahead of the 2022 campaign.

Ellis made 17 appearances - scoring three tries and 40 goals - as York secured their place in the Betfred Championship Play-Offs. The half-back featured in the historic 26-24 victory over Halifax Panthers at The Shay, the Club’s first win in the Betfred Championship Play-Offs.

The playmaker boasts plenty of Betfred Super League experience across spells at St Helens, Leigh Centurions, Hull FC, Castleford Tigers, Huddersfield Giants and Hull KR.

An astute goal-kicker, Ellis has over 1,200 career points to his name from less than 250 appearances.
