Mata'afa joins York until the end of 2026, after spending the previous two seasons in France. 

The 28 year old spent time at Baroudeur de Pia and most recently FC Lezignan, after previously playing in Australia for North Sydney Bears in the New South Wales Cup.

The Samoan can play anywhere in the back line, at full-back, centre or wing.
