Roberts joined York in the off season from St.Helens, where he'd been since the age of 14.

He progressed through the Scholarship programme and the Under 18s before then joining the Academy, where he was part of the Championship winning team in 2023.

He moved into the first team squad in 2024, and spent time on loan at Swinton, Rochdale and Widnes Vikings before being released from Saints at the end of last season.
