Harris

Half-Back

Club Partners

Harris was promoted to Captain ahead of the 2024 season, succeeding the retiring Chris Clarkson and continuing his remarkable journey with York Knights.

The half-back first turned out for York in 2017, scoring 14 tries in 18 appearances for the then-Betfred League One Knights while on loan from Hull KR.

He returned for the back-end of the 2019 campaign, again on loan, this time from Hull FC, and played a vital role in the Knights’ third-placed finish in the Betfred Championship - the Club’s highest placing since 1985/86.

After a spell at Halifax Panthers, Harris signed a permanent deal at York ahead of 2022, crossing for a team-high 18 tries that year thanks to his devastating running game, which included a try against former club Fax in the Betfred Championship Play-Off Qualifiers at The Shay.

Harris delivered six tries and 21 assists from 25 appearances last year as Andrew Henderson’s side again reached the Betfred Championship Play-Offs. The scrum-half’s form saw him rewarded with the Graham Steadman Player of the Year award and Captaincy leading into 2024.
