Club Partners

The longest-serving player in the squad, Jubb has been a mainstay at York ever since his Knights debut in February 2017.

Then a loanee from Hull KR, the hooker signed a permanent deal with York a year later as the Betfred League One title was secured in a memorable battle with the much-fancied Bradford Bulls.

Praised by coaches and team-mates for his defensive durability and service from dummy-half, the nine has been integral to the Club’s recent major successes: the three Betfred Championship top six finishes in 2019, 2022 and 2023, reaching the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final at Wembley in 2021 and defeating Halifax Panthers to win a first Betfred Championship Play-Offs match in 2022.

In the process, the Hull man has surpassed 150 appearances for York. Ahead of the 2024 season, only four players had played more times for the Knights in the summer era.

Jubb’s achievements are made all the more remarkable by the fact that, aged two, he was diagnosed with retinoblastoma and had his right eye removed. His role as Ambassador for York visual impairment, sight loss and hearing loss charity The Wilberforce Trust is testament to his selfless attitude and ability to overcome adversity.
