Antrobus included in 21-Man Wales squad

York City Knights’ latest signing Bailey Antrobus could make his international debut for Wales on Sunday after being included in the trimmed-down 21-man squad for their test against France.

The former St George Illawarra man had been included in the thirty-strong group last week and has since kept his place with soon-to-be Widnes Vikings coach John Kear keeping the Knight involved.

Antrobus’ Welsh heritage comes from his father and grandfather and will make his bow if selected on Sunday. With an eye on the end-of-year Rugby League World Cup, a strong showing on debut will do his chances no harm.

He is included in the squad alongside the likes of Salford Red Devils’ Rhys Williams – set to captain the side on his record-breaking 31st international appearance – and Bradford Bulls’ Huddersfield loanee Chester Butler.
