York City Knights are delighted to announce a ground-breaking partnership with Burflex (Scaffolding) Ltd, one of the UK`s leading scaffolding companies based in Yorkshire, who will become the Major Headline Partner for the York City Knights Foundation including the boys’ and girls’ Excel player development programmes.
Burflex, who are one of the largest independently owned scaffolding contractors in the UK, are delighted to team up with the Knights. Steve Cox, Managing Director and owner of Burflex said “We are looking forward to assisting the Knights with their ambitious plans for the future and this partnership highlights our commitment to the area as we continue to develop our business. We wish Jon, Adrian and the team great success for the forthcoming season which I feel sure will be a very enjoyable one in their new home at the LNER Community Stadium.”
Adrian Hunter, Director of Partnerships at the Knights said: “We are thrilled to welcome Steve and Gareth and their team to the Knights family and look forward to working closely with them throughout 2021 to build a lasting legacy for our Foundation.”

As part of the partnership, Burflex will be the player sponsor of the first-team squad members who have progressed from the Excel program: AJ Towse, Toby Warren and Myles Harrison.
Commenting on the significant benefit the partnership will have to the club and the community, Hunter added “Burflex have developed their business through quality, integrity and professionalism and that is a great fit with the Knights as we very much share their ethos. This will assist us enormously in developing our future stars of tomorrow through our Excel program and provide a platform for natural progression and development for all our Foundation clubs and members.”
