York Knights end their 2023 Betfred Championship regular season at Barrow Raiders on Sunday 24th September (3pm) at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium with the Play-Off race still in the balance.
York sit seventh in the table heading into the final round of the season, trailing sixth-placed Halifax Panthers by just one point and fifth-placed London Broncos by just two points.
The Knights need to beat Barrow to keep their top-six hopes alive, with results needing to go in their favour when Halifax host Swinton Lions and London Broncos entertain Keighley Cougars.
While Andrew Henderson's side will be seeking to claw a way into the Play-Offs, 10th-placed Barrow have plenty of motivation for claiming the two points, battling to ensure they avoid relegation on the final day.
Barrow are on 17 points, one more than second-from-bottom Swinton Lions, 12th-placed Keighley Cougars and 11th-placed Whitehaven.
The Play-Off race may be out of the hands of York, but the Knights will be desperate to maintain their red-hot end-of-season form, having won nine of their last 10 Betfred Championship contests.
No other team in the division has taken more points than York during the last 10 league matches.
The Knights make the trip up to Cumbria, having won all of their three away meetings with Barrow.
Joe Brown, Will Oakes, Matty Marsh, Jordan Thompson and Liam Harris tries sealed a 30-18 win back in May last year while a Marsh hat-trick inspired a 24-16 victory in August 2019.
James Ford's side also triumphed 32-16 in March 2019 in the Betfred Challenge Cup, with Marcus Stock, Perry Whiteley, Jack Teanby and Marsh crossing the whitewash.
