York Knights can confirm the signing of NRL star, Cameron McInnes for 2027 on a three-year deal thanks to support from Squad Builder!
The loose forward or hooker joins after four years with Cronulla Sharks, which came at the end of a 13 year career in the NRL.
He also had time at South Sydney Rabbitohs and St.George Illawarra Dragons.
Known for tireless defence and strong carries, he’s played more than 200 games in the top flight in Australia, and holds the NRL record for most tackles in a match with 81 against Penrith Panthers in 2023.
McInnes has also represented New South Wales, making his State of Origin debut in 2024.
On joining the Knights, McInnes said: "I'm really excited to be joining the Knights.
"It has always been an ambition of mine to play in the Super League, experience a different competition and to get the opportunity to do it in York with a team just starting out it's journey was hugely motivating.
"I can't wait to meet my new teammates and rip in with them."
Head coach, Mark Applegarth said: "Cam's a real statement signing for us.
"After chatting with Cam numerous times now, he's going to be a real culture setter for us.
"He's got really high standards for himself and his team mates. He helps drive a certain standard within your environment. On top of that he's an outstanding player and person as well.
"I think Cam's going to be a real quality signing not only for York Knights but Super League as well.
"I can't work to get working with him and get to know his family and push York Knights forward."
