York City Knights can confirm that men’s Assistant Coach Brett Delaney will be departing the Club for a role with Betfred Super League’s Hull Kingston Rovers.
The move was set to happen at the end of the season but, with Tony Smith’s departure from the Robins earlier this week, Delaney will now move after Monday’s match against Halifax Panthers to assist former Leeds Rhinos teammate Danny McGuire.
Delaney joined the Knights ahead of this season and made a positive impact to the playing group, especially with the younger players where he has shared his vast experience with the squad.
The Knights would like to wish ‘Frog’ well throughout his time with Hull Kingston Rovers and beyond. He will always be welcome back at the Club.
