York Knights are back in Summer Bash action this Saturday (7.30pm) as they face unbeaten Betfred Championship leaders Featherstone Rovers at the LNER Community Stadium!
York head into the fixture in fine form, having won all of their last four matches, thanks to a pair of wins over London Broncos and Newcastle Thunder.
The Knights overcame Newcastle 22-18 in the Betfred Challenge Cup Fifth Round last month before beating London 30-28 in the Betfred Championship.
Another league win followed as Newcastle were again seen off via a 26-22 scoreline before York secured a first Betfred Challenge Cup Quarter-Final appearance since 2004 after dispatching London 36-12.
The victories have ensured a Betfred Challenge Cup Quarter-Final tie against Betfred Super League Play-Off contenders Leigh Leopards, to be played on Sunday 18th June (5pm), as well as eighth-place in the Betfred Championship table, trailing the Play-Off positions by just two points.
Andrew Henderson's side face a Featherstone outfit that have recorded 11 wins from as many league matches in 2023.
Rovers have not lost a regular season league match since July's 46-16 defeat to last year's eventual promotion winners Leigh.
Featherstone have however tasted defeat this year in the Betfred Challenge Cup, falling to a 22-18 loss to Halifax Panthers at the Millennium Stadium.
A run of six straight league wins since then have seen Sean Long's Rovers establish a six-point lead at the top of the Betfred Championship table.
