Fordy in Three Peaks challenge for MND

York City Knights Head Coach James Ford will be joining some of his old teammates in taking on the epic 26-mile Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Sunday 18th October to raise vital funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

As many of you know, Rugby League legend Rob Burrow was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in late 2019.

Many within the Rugby League community have done amazing things in raising money for Rob and his family along with raising awareness for Motor Neurone Disease.

A group of Rob's friends organised by Kevin Till - including Knights boss James Ford - will walk the 26-mile Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Sunday 18th October to show their support towards Rob and help fight this terrible disease.

Ford said: “It’s the least we can do to support a close friend who has brought so much joy to so many lives. Rob has been described as many things in his career, but for me there’s no more fitting word than inspirational, I’m convinced there’s a great number of current players in the game because of Rob.

“I know first hand how grateful he would be for anyone to support his fight against MND and help raise awareness for everyone else suffering from this horrendous disease.”
