Foundation to host Wheelchair RL Taster Session!

After the roaring success of this year’s Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup, York RLFC Foundation are delighted to be hosting a taster session with a view to launching a team of our own in 2023!

As part of the most inclusive Rugby League World Cup to date, the Wheelchair tournament captured the imagination of the country with the England team lifting the trophy against France earlier this month.

Over 5,000 people packed into the Manchester Central venue to watch the final with hundreds of thousands more watching the BBC’s coverage, both of which have thrown the sport into the mainstream.

On Wednesday 14th December between 7 and 8pm, our Foundation will be holding the taster session at the University of York’s Sports Centre with the session free to attend for anybody.

Wheelchair rugby league is the most inclusive sport of all with play open to able-bodied and disabled participants with men and women both able to play in the same team.

If you fancy trying it out, complete the form below. If you have any further questions, please contact Adam on a.prentis@yorkrlfc.com or call the York RLFC Office on 01904 670880.
