Gulliver Appointed as Club Director

York City Knights are delighted to announce the appointment of General Manager Neil Gulliver as a Director of the club.

Gulliver’s appointment comes after joining the club in early 2014, the last three and a half years of which has seen him in the role of General Manager. Before that, he was York City Knights Foundation’s Manager, spearheading the club’s community work for a four-year period.

After overseeing all aspects of the club’s move into the LNER Community Stadium, Gulliver will continue as General Manager after this appointment and, on that, Knights Chairman Jon Flatman highlighted the importance of Gulliver’s appointment to the board.

“The expansion of the club’s board is vital to our continued growth and, over the last few years, it’s been clear that Neil lives and breathes rugby league and the Knights.

“His dedication to the club is second to none and, being a widely respected member of the local community and beyond, I’m proud to be able to appoint him to the board and that this opportunity has presented itself.

“His leadership of the club off the field is outstanding and I look forward to continuing to work closely with him moving forward.”

Gulliver himself added: “I’m really proud to have been appointed as a Director of the Knights. It’s a pleasure leading the team off the field and this is a club full of good people doing good things. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with them as we continue to progress as an organisation.”
