Harris and Andrade the big winners on Awards Night!

York RLFC have named Liam Harris as the Graham Steadman Player of the Year and for the second year running, Savannah Andrade as the Julie Cronin Player of the Year, sponsored by Yorkshire Profiles!

They received their trophies at our glittering End of Season Awards ceremony held at Hazelwood Castle.

Harris, sponsored by Monk Bar Model Shop, has been in superb form in 2025 for the Knights. Finishing as the Betfred Championship’s top points scorer, his drop goal in extra time at Wembley to win the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup will live long in the memory of York supporters.

He also won the Knights’ Back of the Year award, sponsored by Business Waste.

Andrade, sponsored by Yorkshire Profiles, has had another big year for the Valkyrie, with her form earning her a recall to the England squad.

For the second year running, she also picked up the Valkyrie Players’ Player of the Year award, sponsored by Visiting North Yorkshire and the Valkyrie Forward of the Year accolade, sponsored by York College.

She was also the Valkyrie top try scorer, and her effort against St.Helens in the Betfred Super League also earned her the Try of the Year award.

The Jim Bone award, presented to a club person in recognition of their work with the club, went to photographer Andy Nelson. He’s been involved with the club for many years, documenting match days with his work.
