Knights Head Coach James Ford has named his 21-Man squad for Sunday’s Betfred Championship match against Leigh Centurions at the LNER Community Stadium with half-back Liam Harris returning to the fold after his three-game ban.
Former Halifax man Harris has missed the first three rounds of the Betfred Championship season after picking up a ban in our pre-season friendly against Castleford Tigers, an incident that saw James Clare – also included this weekend after signing on loan for the Knights – pick up a ban from the same incident.
Harris’ inclusion looks set to mean Matty Marsh can revert to his recognised full-back berth after stepping into the halves in our Round One and Three matches against Featherstone and Batley, respectively.
Impressive wingers Joe Brown and Will Oakes, both having made strong starts to the 2022 campaign, are in line to continue on the flanks and, with Jacob Ogden still absent with a niggle and Jack Logan left out of the squad, centre James Glover will be looking to build on a positive showing during last weekend’s victory at Batley.
Ford’s men will be looking to win their third consecutive league match on Sunday but in the Knights’ way are a much-fancied Leigh Centurions team who, like the Knights, have two wins to their name in the Championship season thus far.
Tickets are available for Sunday’s match from yorkcityknights.com/tickets and will also be available on the day. Priced at £20 for adults, £15 for concessions and FREE for under-16s, tickets will be sold from 12 noon via the North and West Stand Ticket Office Booths.
