Howard signs for York Valkyrie

York Valkyrie have added hooker, Kate Howard to their squad for the remainder of 2026, thanks to support from Squad Builder!
The 27-year old signs for York from Leigh Leopards, where she scored 18 tries in 40 appearances over three and a half seasons.
She began playing rugby league at university, and from there, continued playing with Rochdale Hornets.
She moved into the Championship with Leigh Miners, which were then taken over by the Leopards and earned promotion to the Betfred Women’s Super League.
She’s available for Saturday’s game at Featherstone Rovers.

The game kicks off at 2.30pm on Saturday 27th June. Before that, York Valkyrie Under 19s play Featherstone Rovers Under 19s at 11.30am.
