Inman joins on loan

York City Knights are pleased to confirm the signing of young hooker Tom Inman on an initial two-week loan deal from Betfred Super League club Warrington Wolves.

The new recruit comes in at a time where the Knights have seen hookers Kriss Brining and Sam Davis retire and leave on loan, respectively, in recent months and Inman will provide additional depth to the squad.

On his arrival, Head Coach James Ford said of the 19-year-old: “Tom is a talented young hooker with an exceptional desire to succeed. In my opinion, it’s a big step up from Super League reserves but Tom is really excited to take on that first challenge.

“He’s been training with Warrington’s first team squad but unfortunately he’s found himself behind some world class hookers. Not everyone’s journey in the game is the same and I’m looking forward to getting to know Tom and helping him on his journey.”

Inman comes into contention ahead of Sunday’s match at the LNER Community Stadium against Barrow Raiders. Tickets are available now from yorkcityknights.com/tickets.
