Knights confirm preliminary squad for cup tie against Newcastle


York Knights have named their preliminary squad, in partnership with Inglis Chartered Accountants, for Friday's Betfred Challenge Cup Fifth Round tie against Newcastle Thunder at the LNER Community Stadium (7.30pm).


Head Coach Andrew Henderson makes just one change to his preliminary squad, with fit-again half-back Liam Harris, who missed last week's 16-6 defeat at Halifax Panthers through the head injury return-to-play protocol, returning in the place of the injured Ata Hingano.

Danny Kirmond serves the penultimate match of his three-game suspension.


Jesse Dee, Conor Fitzsimmons, Pauli Pauli, Olly Butterworth, Jamie Ellis and Levi Edwards remain absent from the preliminary squad through injury.
