York Valkyrie make the trip to AMT Headingley for the Betfred Women’s Super League semi-final on Friday 18th September (5.15pm)!

Leon Pryce’s team clinched third place, and with it qualification for the knock out game, with the 26-12 win over Wigan Warriors last weekend in the final match of the Super 4s stage of the season.

It was the first defeat of the season for Wigan, and their first since the Valkyrie beat them in August 2025.

The winners on Friday will meet Wigan in next week’s Grand Final at the Brick Community Stadium.

If York can reach the final, it’ll be their fourth time in five years, having won it in 2023 and 2024, and finishing runners up to Leeds in 2022.

Leeds head into the game on a four match losing run, including an 18-14 defeat at York. It hasn’t been the best of runs for the Rhinos since the league split into the Super 4s, and they’ve picked up just two wins out of their six matches.

However, their form in the league before that stage of the season was more than enough to secure second place and a home tie in the semi-final.

They go into this game having been edged out 24-22 at home to St.Helens last week.

At Headingley, Leeds have had the better of the Valkyrie twice this season. First in the league by 30-10, before a 38-16 win in the first round of the Super 4s.

York have met Leeds twice before in the knock-out stage of the season, with York winning 12-10 in 2024, before going on to win the Grand Final. The time before in 2021 was a win for Leeds.

York will still be without Tamzin Renouf for this game, following her shoulder injury at St.Helens three weeks ago.

Tickets are priced at £10 for Adults (age 17 & over) and FREE for Juniors (16 & under).

All tickets are for standing in AMT East Stand Terrace or unreserved seating in North Stand.
