York City Knights are delighted to announce that players' matchday food for our next two matches will be provided by Nandos!
The Vangarde branch of the nationwide restaurant chain are our Official Digital Matchday Partner for our Betfred Championship match against Sheffield Eagles and will also be providing food for this Friday's huge Betfred Challenge Cup tie against Wigan Warriors! As part of the behind closed doors protocols, players and match officials food is provided by the home club.
On the partnership, which has seen the company financially support the club, Nandos' Demi Topliss said: "As a sports enthusiast myself, I am filled with excitement not just to build relationships with the York City Knights, but to be able to partner with them to provide post-match food for the lads is fantastic!
"We can't wait to welcome fans into the restaurant & be part of that match day experience!"
The restaurant, which is located right next to the LNER Community Stadium, will provide a range from their menu for the players and Adrian Hunter, the Knights' Director of Partnerships, Hospitality and Stadium Development, said: "Nandos is an iconic worldwide brand and for them to partner with the Knights for 2021 is terrific."
"Demi and her team have gone the extra mile to support the club and we are extremely appreciative of their ongoing partnership with us and delighted to welcome them on board."
