National Lottery HeRLegacy Series

National Lottery HeRLegacy Series is coming to York with the help of England RLWC Superstars.

York RLFC Foundation will be hosting the HeRLegacy event at York St John Haxby Road Sports Park on Thursday 1st December where players will be able to meet the England stars of the Women’s Rugby League World Cup.

In partnership with The National Lottery and the RFL, we are delivering HeRLegacy coaching sessions to inspire more young girls to take up the sport.

Adam Prentis York RLFC Foundation Delivery Manager said ‘The rugby league skills and drills will be delivered by Foundation coaches and will see two England women players taking part to interact with the girls and talk about their World Cup experience.

The Rugby League World Cup 2021 has provided a fantastic opportunity to continue the momentum we have seen in women and girls Rugby League and inspire more young girls to pick up a ball for the first time. With the World Cup coming to an end, we would like to offer you a taster session to remember and capitalise on the inspiration from our England Women competing in a major tournament on home soil.’

To register for the session in York please click here.

Players are asked to wear suitable sports, football boots, if possible (although not essential), and a drink. Once parents have completed the above link, please expect to hear from us a few days prior to the session with further information.

As part of the HeRLegacy series you can also book the online class which will include a Q&A session with two England women. The online class, which will be taking place on Thursday 15th December between 6-7pm on Microsoft Teams, can be booked via this link; HeRLegacy online
