York Valkyrie captain, Sinead Peach has agreed a new contract with the club, thanks to the support of Squad Builder!
She has signed a two year deal, keeping her at York until the end of the 2027 season.
The 2023 Woman of Steel has been with the Valkyrie since 2021, when she joined from Castleford Tigers and she’s gone on to win two League Leaders Shields and one Grand Final.
After taking a year out of the game in 2024 on maternity leave, she returned last season as York reached the Betfred Challenge Cup semi-final and the Betfred Women’s Super League play off semi-finals.
An England international, Peach has established herself as a leader of the Valkyrie both on and off the pitch. She was one of the first players to sign with the Valkyrie in 2023 when the club became the first English club to offer professional contacts in the women’s game.
Sinead commented on the re-signing and said "I'm excited to be re-signing with the Valks for 2026.
"This club feels like home and I'm grateful for the chance to go again with a group that pushes me to be better every day.
"I can't wait to build on what we've started and make next season something special."
