York Knights can confirm that French international, Justin Sangaré is joining the club for 2026, thanks to the support of Squad Builder!

The forward arrives at the LNER Community Stadium after spending last season with Salford Red Devils, where he made 25 appearances in a difficult year for the club.

The 27-year old came through the system at Toulouse Olympique, where he was part of the team that won promotion to Super League for 2022.

After impressing, he then signed a two year deal with Leeds Rhinos where he went on to make more than 40 appearances.

He’s made eight appearances for his country, including three games in the World Cup in 2022.

York Knights head coach, Mark Applegarth says he’ll bring a new dimension to the pack.

“I’m delighted to have him. He offers a different sort of perspective for us in terms of a front rower.

“He’s got a lot of impact and a lovely offload game. He’ll create some dents in any defence.

“I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Sangaré commented on the move, saying: “I'm excited and honoured to play for York.

"I am ready to battle for the club and be a part of the history of the York Knights.

Thanks God for this new opportunity.”
