York RLFC Valkyrie will begin their season with the Challenge Cup on Sunday 23rd April.
The team will play in the Challenge Cup after taking on the Betfred Women's Super League where they hope to become League champions.
The Challenge Cup 2023 will comprise of 16 teams including BWSL sides; Barrow Raiders, Bradford Bulls, Castleford Tigers, Featherstone Rovers, Huddersfield Giants, Leeds Rhinos, Leigh Leopards, Salford Red Devils, St Helens, Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors.
Along with Championship outfits Oulton Raidettes, Hull KR, Cardiff Demons and London Broncos.
The group stage matches will commence on Sunday 23rd April with the top two teams from each group going into the quarter finals on Sunday 18th June.
For the first time in the Women's game, the Women's Challenge Cup Final will come before the men's on Saturday 12th August.
