England have called up seven York Valkyrie players to their 19-player squad to face France at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington on Saturday (2pm).
York quartet Tara Jane Stanley, Liv Wood, Hollie-Mae Dodd and Grace Field retain their places having featured for England during the 2021 World Cup.
Valkyrie Captain Sinead Peach, Tamzin Renouf and Savannah Andrade are also named in Stu Barrow’s squad.
The seven York stars have played a vital role in Lindsay Anfield’s side’s 100 per cent winning start in 2023, beating Leeds Rhinos (12-34) and St Helens (26-6) in the Betfred Women’s Super League before cruising past Barrow Raiders (4-44) in Group Four of the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup.

York Valkyrie continue their Betfred Women's Challenge Cup Group Four campaign on Sunday 7th May (12pm) against Hull KR at the LNER Community Stadium as part of a double header, with York Knights facing London Broncos later that afternoon (3pm).
