The Knights pack finds themselves at present in a rich vein of form that has set the platform for an excellent start to this Betfred Championship campaign. Prop Jack Teanby has been in the midst of that, making a great impact from the bench so far this season.
Last time out saw the Knights record a victory at the home of rivals Bradford and Teanby gave his thoughts on that victory.
“It was a bit scrappy from us in the first half and we gave quite a lot of errors and soft penalties away. That gave Bradford a lot of possession, but we stuck at it and came out the other side with a good win.”
A part of the rivalry since joining the Knights, Teanby admitted it’s a match that the team always has it’s eye on.
“I think so. It’s been a big rivalry since I’ve been here, they went at it in League One so when I came here it was set in stone as a rivalry so it’s always one for us to look forward to. It’s different to when I was at Dewsbury and Batley were always our biggest rivals so yeah, it’s always a good one to get up for, especially for the occasion.”
Sunday’s victory saw powerhouse forward Pauli Pauli start his two-game ban.
The former Salford man’s performances recently have set the tone at the start of matches but, in his absence, Teanby believes the rest of the pack stepped up to the mark.
