York Valkyrie walk away without a win from the 2024 Nines Final.
The Valkyrie entered the final round of the competition in Group B playing Huddersfield Giants and Wigan Warriors.
Up against Huddersfield, the Valkyrie secured two tries from RISE programme youngsters Lauren Exley and Abbie Millward but were unable to convert while Huddersfield Giants were too big and too strong for the Valkyrie edge taking home 17 points against the team.
Their second match against Wigan saw the opposition take home five tries with the Valkyrie scoring two from the likes of Bettie Lambert (sponsored by the White Family) and youngster Ruby Ellis leaving the score at 28-8 to Wigan.
Wigan Warriors went on to be crowned the competition's back-to-back champions after York won the 2022 Women's Nines but were beaten by Wigan Warriors in last year's Semi-Finals on Finals Day.
