York Valkyrie Director of Rugby Lindsay Anfield has confirmed her preliminary squad, in partnership with Inglis Chartered Accountants, for Saturday's Betfred Women's Challenge Cup Semi-Final clash against twice and defending holders St Helens at Warrington's Halliwell Jones Stadium (11.45am). Anfield has named an unchanged preliminary squad following last weekend's 12-12 draw with reigning champions Leeds Rhinos in the Betfred Women's Super League at the LNER Community Stadium.
Utility Georgie Hetherington remains unavailable due to a hip injury while prop Alisha Clayton is out with a bicep problem. The Valkyrie will be seeking to book their place at the competition's final at Wembley Stadium, in the first women's rugby league match to be played at the national ground, with a victory against St Helens this weekend.
