Wood stays at York!

York Valkyrie forward, Olivia Wood has committed for a further two years, thanks to support from Squad Builder!

The England international has been with the club since 2021, when she joined from Bradford Bulls, and she’s gone on to become one of the cornerstones of the York pack.

'Liv' has been rewarded with a new deal, which will take her into her sixth season at the LNER Community Stadium.

Injury forced her to miss part of 2025, but she still went on to make ten appearances as the Valkyrie reached the semi-finals of both the Betfred Challenge Cup and Betfred Women’s Super League play-offs.

Wood said: "It means a lot to be able to go out and play alongside these girls.

"I missed out on quite a few games last year and it's just made me more excited to be able to go into next season with them."
