Ahead of 2022, York City Knights are proud to announce that YO1 Radio have agreed a deal to become a new shirt partner for next season.
The York-based radio station’s logo will be featured on the lower back of our 2022 shirts and YO1 Radio will also be providing entertainment at an upcoming York City Knights Business Hub event.
Keen to make a mark in the city, YO1 Radio have been involved with several community events in the recent weeks and next year will see them proudly feature on our new shirts.
On the partnership, YO1 Radio Managing Director, Wayne Chadwick, said: “As York’s local radio station, we are very proud to support our local sports teams. We are delighted to be sponsoring the Knights and looking forward to the new season. We will be cheering the team from the touchline and on-the-air!
“YO1 Radio can be heard in York on 102.8 FM, Selby on 90.0FM, online, on your smart device – and across the whole of North Yorkshire on DAB digital radio. With regular local sports bulletins every day, we’ve got it all covered!”
On the new partnership, Knights Chairman Jon Flatman said: “We’re delighted that YO1 Radio have joined us as partners for 2022.
“They’re making a mark in the city and it’s brilliant that they have identified the Knights as a club to associate with as they look to grow alongside us.
“I’m looking forward to welcoming YO1 Radio to the LNER Community Stadium next year.”
