York RLFC are delighted to be hosting our annual Education Day when York Knights face Sheffield Eagles at the LNER Community Stadium on Sunday (3pm)!
The Knights will warm up in a Shirt designed by Robert Wilkinson Primary Academy pupil Jaxson, whose design was selected from hundreds of entries sent in through schools and community clubs across York.
A limited number of Education Day Warm-Up Shirts will be available for purchase from the York RLFC Club Shop from 12pm on Sunday, with the Shirts priced at £28 for Adults and £23.50 for Juniors.
Subject to stock availability, the Education Day Warm-Up Shirts will be able to purchase online from 6pm on Sunday evening.
The Education Day Warm-Up Shirts proudly displays the logos of our Key Partner Nutrein and Club Partners Hooting Owl, Autohorn, BrewYork, GEM Construction, SkyBridge Tactical, Partners City Cruises, Roofing Addiction and Building Addiction and kit manufacturers Oxen.
York Knights star Ronan Michael revealed Jaxson as the competition winner in front of his school-mates last week, presenting the Year Four pupil with tickets to the York Knights v Sheffield Eagles match, where he will be presented with his Warm-Up Shirt alongside his family.

Hundreds of children from across York will be in attendance during Education Day, taking part in our Primary Rugby League Festival on the LNER Community Stadium pitch from 1pm until 2pm, with turnstiles opening from 12.45pm.
Pupils from St Paul’s Primary School, Knavesmire Primary School, Poppleton Road Primary School, St Oswald’s Church of England Primary Academy, Robert Wilkinson Primary Academy School and St Wilfrid’s Primary School will be participating in Education Day.
After taking part in pre-match activities including staging the guard of honour, carrying the York Knights flags and walking onto the field as player mascots, the pupils will return to the LNER Community Stadium field for a series of small-sided matches and a dance performance.
York RLFC Foundation Delivery Manager Adam Prentis said: “Everyone at the Club is excited to be staging our Education Day as part of the York Knights’ clash with Sheffield Eagles on Sunday!
“We hope that the afternoon is memorable for all of the children in attendance, many of whom will have never attended a rugby league match before.
“Supporting our local schools is a vital part of the Foundation's work through our after-school clubs and PE delivery, ensuring that we are engaging the next generation of York RLFC supporters.
“The Foundation is currently in more schools and primary schools than ever before, introducing children to the sport of rugby league and promoting a healthy lifestyle through sport.
“We hope that Education Day can be a vehicle to support the continued growth of our local community game and to develop the next York Knights and York Valkyrie stars.”
If any Primary Schools within York and North Yorkshire would like to participate in York RLFC’s Primary School Festival during Education Day, please contact York RLFC Foundation Delivery Manager Adam Prentis on a.prentis@yorkrlfc.com or call 01904 670880 and ask for the Foundation team.
