School Holidays 

 

The York RLFC Foundation regularly host busy school holiday programmes for children across York & North Yorkshire. The aim is not only to inspire the next generation of Knights & Valkyrie players, but also to play a vital role in helping make holidays more enjoyable. These events are generally made up of our familiar free, turn up and play outreach community sessions, and a series of day camps which do require advance booking.

 

Easter Holidays Programme

Our Easter Holidays programme is made up of funded sessions thanks to the City of York Council HAF programme and Local Council Ward funding.

​

All our sessions are open access, free to attend sessions!

​

Holiday Activities with Food, (HAF) Programme – Important Information

​

Any child who is eligible for free school meals, can book onto one of our HAF session(s) and reserve a place through the Holiday Activities and Food Yor-OK webpage, which will go live on Tuesday 12th March. Eligible families should receive a code through school, if you believe you are eligible but don’t receive a code please speak to your school or use the contact details on the HAF website to request the code.

 

By using the pre-booking system, we can evidence and demonstrate the need for such sessions to continue in the future. For those families wishing to request a free pre-packed meal at any of our sessions, we ask you to book onto the session at least 3 working days prior to the session to have a meal ready for you to collect at the session.

 

Please note meals are allocated when booking on a first come first request basis with limited number of meals made available for each session. The Holiday Activities Website allows families using the code received from your child’s school to book on a wide range of providers including York RLFC Foundation.

Families and children not eligible for free school meals do not need to book on this system however, priority for meals will be given to those who are eligible in line with the funding we have received.

​

Fruit / snacks will be available to everyone who attends!

Monday 25th March:

10am – 12pm, Orchard Park Huntington, YO31 9EA

2pm – 4pm, Acomb Green, YO26 5LR (Local Council Ward session, no booking required. Please note only fruit and snacks will be distributed at this session.)

 

Tuesday 26th March:  

10am – 12pm, Hull Road Park, YO10 3TQ

2pm – 4pm, Northfields Park, Strensall, YO32 5XW (Local Council Ward session, no booking required. Please note only fruit and snacks will be distributed at this session.)

2pm – 4pm, Millennium Fields, Fulford, YO10 4EJ (Multi-sports only, no inflatable)

5.15pm – 7.15pm, New Earswick Sports & Social Club, YO32 4AG

 

Wednesday 27th March:  

10am – 12pm, Woodthorpe Green Play Area, YO24 2RX

2pm – 4pm, Clifton Green Primary School, School Field, YO30 6JA

2pm – 4pm, Acomb Green, YO26 5LR (Multi-sports only, no inflatable at this session. Local Council Ward session, no booking required. Please note only fruit and snacks will be distributed at this session.)
