York RLFC Foundation is delighted to confirm our latest School Holiday programme, with more sessions taking place across York!

York RLFC Foundation School Holiday programme plays a crucial role in our local community by offering children enjoyable, active, and free sessions, inspiring the next generation of York Knights and York Valkyrie stars.

Over the course of this year, the York RLFC Foundation have organised more than 100 sessions across dozens of venues with over 2500 children attending.

Our events catered for children of different ages (please see session details as and when listed), but are all open-access, free-to-attend with no pre-booking required. Some of these sessions will include a snack and a drink for those attending. Please note access to toilets is not always possible depending on the location of the event.

Our extended thanks to our partner Simon Baynes Wholesale for supplying the fruit for all our holiday sessions.

For any organisation wishing to book our services for future holiday activity, please contact a.prentis@yorkrlfc.com

Holiday Activities with Food (HAF) Programme – Important Information.

York RLFC Foundation is delighted to be offering funded places through the Department of Education government HAF scheme. For those sessions funded through HAF children are able to request and reserve a meal to be brought to the session by booking in advance of the day. Families and children not eligible for free school meals do not need to book on this system; however, priority for meals will be given to those who are eligible in line with the funding we have received.

Any child eligible for free school meals can book a session via booking live from mid-July and reserve a place through the Holiday Activities and Food Yor-OK webpage.

By using the pre-booking system, we are able to evidence and demonstrate the need for such sessions to continue in the future. For those families wishing to request a free pre-packed meal at any of our sessions, we ask you to book onto the session a minimum of four working days prior to the session to have a meal ready for you to collect at the session.

Please note places are allocated when booking on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limited number of places made available for each session.

The Holiday Activities Website allows families using the code received from your child’s school to book on a wide range of providers, including York RLFC Foundation.

Note: Parents with children aged 8 and under are required to stay at the session for the duration whilst their child is present.

Please can we ask all children attending to wear suitable sports clothing and avoid wearing jewellery.

Should you have any questions, please email info@yorkrlfc.com or call 01904 670 880 and ask for the Foundation.
