Owen achieved a childhood dream last year when a brilliant club season with the Valkyrie ended in a try-scoring international debut with England.

The devastating line-hitting back-rower scored nine tries in 13 appearances for York in 2023, including a score in the side’s Grand Final victory over Leeds Rhinos.

Owen’s displays caught the eye of England boss Stuart Barrow, who named the forward in his squad for November’s international against Wales, with the second-rower stepping up from the bench to score a debut try.

The Castleford-born star joined York midway through the 2022 season, having previously represented Castleford Tigers, and has gone on to win two League Leaders’ Shields and a Grand Final with Lindsay Anfield’s side.
