Prior to joining York in 2019, Taylor had never picked up a rugby ball. Just four years later, she scored on her international debut for Wales away to France.

The Bridlington-born winger was introduced to the sport by friend and team-mate Bettie Lamberton and would go on to feature in the 2022 Betfred Women’s Super League Grand Final defeat to Leeds Rhinos, after the Valkyrie had claimed the League Leaders’ Shield.

Taylor made six league appearances as Lindsay Anfield’s side secured an historic second successive League Leaders’ Shield.

In the off-season, Taylor was called up the Wales squad for internationals against France and England, with the winger scoring a try on her first appearance for her nation.
