Izumi joined York from Oulton Raidettes ahead of the 2023 season having previously worked with Valkyrie Director of Rugby Lindsay Anfield at Castleford Tigers.

The Tokyo-born winger was previously part of England’s Diploma in Sporting Excellence programme, the first step on the England Performance Pathway.

Izumi has yet to make her first-team debut for York but was a regular for the club’s Under-19s in 2023.
