Howard joined York from Leigh Leopards, where she scored 18 tries in 40 appearances over three and a half seasons.

She began playing rugby league at university, and from there, continued playing with Rochdale Hornets.

She moved into the Championship with Leigh Miners, which were then taken over by the Leopards and earned promotion to the Betfred Women’s Super League.
