Akpa returned to York in July, having previously featured for the Club during the back end of the 2022 season.

The France Captain was part of the York side that won last year's League Leaders' Shield in the Betfred Women's Super League and reached the Betfred Women's Super League Grand Final.

Capable of playing across numerous positions, Akpa can feature in either the back-row or front-row and represented France during the 2021 World Cup last year. 

She was promoted to France Captain earlier this year ahead of the England-France Test at Warrington in April.
