Not even Peach herself could have predicted just how successful her 2023 season would turn out.

The hooker was promoted to the role of Captain, following the retirement of Katie Langan, whom she shared Co-Captaincy with, during the off-season.

Her leadership skills, 13 tries and 31 assists was pivotal in the Valkyrie’s capture of a record second successive League Leaders’ Shield and a maiden Grand Final, the latter proving particularly symbolic after three previous Grand Final defeats.

Individual accolades quickly followed, with Peach picking up the Woman of Steel award after two previous nominations as well as the Rugby League World magazine’s Betfred Women’s Super League Player of the Year award and the Julie Crokin Player of the Year at York RLFC’s End of Season Awards.

On the international front, Peach also returned to the England side, making appearances in the two internationals against France and Wales, after a four-absence from the national side.
