BLACK OUT

York City Knights’ second home match to be shown live on Premier Sports sees them face Batley Bulldogs on Monday 18th July at the LNER Community Stadium (7:45pm KO) and the Club are asking all fans to participate in the ‘Black Out Night.’

With the team sitting third in this year’s Betfred Championship table, the match against Batley pits James Ford, Chris Clarkson et al. against the team currently in fourth place. Along with supporters wearing black, amber try cards will also be handed out to supporters ahead of the game to create what we believe will be a great visual effect in front of the Premier Sports cameras.

A popular initiative elsewhere in the world of sport, the unified look of our supporters also typifies the togetherness we all associate with everything York City Knights. The initiative is also one the Club will be looking to build on and enhance moving forwards into 2023 and beyond.

We will shortly have a large number of black ‘Welcome to The Fortress’ t-shirts featuring our iconic Knights’ head available in a range of sizes to purchase from the Knights Club Shop within the LNER Community Stadium. We will update our fans when they are available.

The Club Shop is open between 10am and 4pm from Monday to Friday as well as from 12pm on matchdays.

Tickets are already available for the match against Batley Bulldogs which has been allocated as our Schools’ Day with schools already contacted about initiatives to get them involved on what will be a superb occasion. Tickets can be purchased from yorkcityknights.com/tickets as well as over the phone on 01904 942232. Alternatively, visit the York Stadium Management Company Ticket Office within the LNER Community Stadium.
