York Knights continue their bid to close in on the Betfred Championship Play-Offs when they travel to fourth-placed Bradford Bulls at the Bartercard Odsal Stadium on Sunday (3pm).

York have won four of their last five matches to move up to seventh in the Betfred Championship, now trailing Featherstone Rovers, who hold the final Play-Off by just two points.

During that time, the Knights have sealed victories to nil over Dewsbury Rams (0-40) and Doncaster (27-0), recorded a biggest league win of the year over Barrow Raiders (54-12) and won an away league game at Featherstone for the first time since 1957.

The sideโ€™s only defeat in that run was a narrow 18-10 loss to Sheffield Eagles, who are currently second in the division and reached last monthโ€™s AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final.

Bradford meanwhile find themselves firmly placed inside the Betfred Championship top four, following nine wins, a draw and five defeats from their 15 matches to date.

Under new Head Coach Eamon Oโ€™Carroll, the former Catalans Dragons Assistant Coach and Newcastle Thunder boss,ย has overhauled the Bulls squad, bringing in a number of new faces, including a handful of Australian talent.

Back-rower Zac Fulton has arrived from Manly Sea Eagles, prop Logan Bayliss-Brow has joined from Brisbane Broncos, hooker Mitch Souter has signed from Canberra Raiders and nine Tyran Ott departed from North Sydney Bears.

The return of loose forward Sam Hallas from Hunslet and the additions of Featherstone Rovers' John Davies and Huddersfield Giants' Nathan Mason have further bolstered a hefty Bradford pack.

The Knights head to Odsal having won on four of their last six visits to the ground.

An early opener from Myles Harrison and second-half scores from AJ Towse and Conor Fitzsimmons saw the Knights prevail 20-10 in September in the last regular season league meeting at Odsal.

The Bulls would later claim their revenge in a 22-8 win in the Betfred Championship Play-Offs the following month.

Bradford though boast a strong home record in 2024, losing just two of seven league contests on home soil so far this year.

They've conceded just 88 points in the process, the second-lowest tally in the division, only bettered by Toulouse Olympique.
