York Knights can confirm Oli Field will remain with the club for 2026, on a two-year deal, thanks to the support of Squad Builder!
Initially joining as a back rower, Field flourished in the centres in 2025, developing a partnership with Scott Galeano down the left hand side of the Knights’ attack.
He goes into his fourth season at York, after initially joining on a one-month loan spell from Leeds Rhinos in March 2023.
He scored 14 tries in 32 appearances in 2025, including a crucial one against Bradford Bulls in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup semi-final win, which earned him the York Knights Try of the Year accolade at the end of season awards ceremony.
Head coach, Mark Applegarth said: "For me, he's been by far the most improved player throughout the year. He's been really consistent.
"Its not just the obvious things fans will have seen, its all the small little efforts. The tough carries, chasing back and helping his wingers out on the pendulum stuff.
"He's a really likeable lad and a great team mate. I still think in two or three years time we'll see the best version of Oli Field."
Oli Field added: "Signing another 2 years is one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made.
"I can’t wait for the next chapter with this group and I’m excited to be a part of what’s going to be a big year."
