York Knights’ winger Ben Jones-Bishop is to go around again in 2027, thanks to support from Squad Builder!

The 39 year-old has agreed a new one year deal, which will see him enter his 19th year as a professional player.

He’s notched up 400 career appearances, including Challenge Cup Finals and Grand Finals, and a World Club Challenge win with Leeds Rhinos in 2012.

Jones-Bishop is in his second spell with the Knights, after returning in 2025 following four years in between with Sheffield Eagles.

In 2025 he was the Championship’s top try scorer with 29, and while 2026 was disrupted by a foot injury, he still managed six tries in 11 appearances.

Jones-Bishop said: "I'm excited to be a part of what the club is building.

"My desire and hunger to perform at this level are as strong as ever.”

Head coach, Mark Applegarth said: “He had a bit of an injury last year which meant he was out for a prolonged period which has probably been a blessing in disguise for him, allowing him to move forward.

“But where do you start with Bish? You know exactly what you’re getting with him.

“He’s very competitive, demands a very high standard of himself, and he’s ultra professional.

“I enjoy chatting to Bish about rugby as well as coaching him and it’ll be a pleasure to watch him go round again.

“I think he’ll still be very effective and I’m delighted he’s decided to go round for another year at least.”
