York Knights have signed utility back, Myles Harrison for a second spell at the club, thanks to support from Squad Builder!

After five years with York he moved to Newcastle Thunder for 2026, but after impressing with the Championship club, he’s earned himself a Super League contract.

The 23 year-old, who plays full-back, centre or wing, came through at Heworth ARLFC before first signing a professional deal with the Knights in 2021.

He impressed in his debut that year against Wigan Warriors in the Betfred Challenge Cup in one of three appearances.

A breakthrough year came in 2023 when he made 24 appearances, scoring ten tries and 18 goals.

An injury hit 2024 limited his game time and with opportunities hard to come by the following year, Harrison moved to York’s partner club for 2026 where he scored six tries and 107 goals in 20 appearances.

He made three appearances on loan for York last season, including in the Challenge Cup quarter final at Hull KR, where he scored and converted his own try.

Harrison said: "I've never made an easier decision. York is home for me."

Mark Applegarth said: "He's a kid that's got the heart of a lion and if you cut him in half he bleeds York through and through.

"He can play a number of positions to a really good standard which is obviously a big strength but we really want to specialise him a little bit so he can really get his teeth into something.

"I'm delighted we've got Myles again and I'm looking forward to seeing him in action."
