Law returns to York RLFC!
York RLFC has brought centre, Joe Law back to the club on a two year deal, thanks to support from Squad Builder!
The 22-year old spent last season at Newcastle Thunder after just over a year at the Knights.
He scored eight tries in 15 appearances for Thunder.
Law’s first spell at York started late in 2024 on loan from Wakefield Trinity and he went on to sign a permanent deal the following season. While at Wakefield, where he came through the Scholarship and Academy system, he made his Super League debut in 2023 against Leeds Rhinos.
He made one loan appearance for York last year, in the Challenge Cup quarter final defeat at Hull KR.
The return to the LNER Community Stadium sees him link up again with Mark Applegarth who first signed him for Wakefield aged 14.
On his return, Law said: "I'm over the moon to be back at this great club.
"I can't wait to be a part of what's to come this year."
Head coach, Mark Applegarth said: "He's been a bit unlucky with injuries over the last 12 months.
"He's got great athletic potential and a really good IQ, how he understands the game.
"Fingers crossed he'll get a bit of luck on his side this year with injuries and he'll put some games together and show everybody what he's about because he's got some lovely attributes that suit top level rugby league."
